Equipment

  • Wine Glass or Highball Glass
  • Measuring Jigger
  • Stirrer or Bar Spoon

Instructions

  • Prep Glass: Fill your wine glass or highball glass with ice cubes.
  • Add Gin: Pour 2 oz Gin over the ice.

  • Garnish: Place a lemon slice or twist into the glass for garnish.

Notes

Substitutes:

  • Gin: If you don't have Gin, try using vodka for a different but still enjoyable flavor. I've also used elderflower liqueur for a floral twist.
  • Prosecco: Champagne or any sparkling wine works well if you don't have prosecco on hand. Just make sure it's dry to keep the balance right.
  • Soda Water: You can use tonic water for a slightly bitter edge or even flavored sparkling water to add an extra layer of taste.

Making it Non-Alcoholic:

  • Gin Substitute: Use a non-alcoholic gin substitute; these are available and do a reasonable job mimicking Gin's botanicals.
  • Prosecco Substitute: Opt for non-alcoholic sparkling wine or even sparkling apple cider for a sweet touch.
  • Proceed As Usual: Use these non-alcoholic substitutes instead of the regular ingredients, follow the original steps, and enjoy a non-alcoholic version.

Making it Vegan:

  • Check Ingredients: Ensure that your prosecco is vegan-friendly, as some brands use animal products in the fining process. Many brands label their bottles as vegan now.
  • Proceed As Usual: Follow the original recipe steps using vegan-certified prosecco and enjoy your vegan Gin Spritz!
