- 2 oz Rye Whiskey
- ¾ oz lemon juice
- ½ oz maple syrup
- 1 egg
- Ice cubes
- Lemon twist or a couple of dashes of Angostura Bitters - for garnish, optional

Instructions
- Chill Glass: Stir some ice cubes in your coupe glass to chill it.
- Add Egg White: Crack 1 egg and add the egg white to the shaker.
- Add Maple Syrup: Add ½ oz maple syrup to the mix.
- Add Lemon Juice: Measure and pour ¾ oz lemon juice into the shaker.
- Add Whiskey: Pour 2 oz Rye Whiskey into the shaker.
- Dry Shake: Shake the mixture without ice for 15 seconds to emulsify the egg white.
- Prep Shaker: Fill your cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Wet Shake: Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for another 15 seconds.
- Strain: Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass.
- Garnish: Use a lemon zest or droop a few dashes of angostura bitters on top as garnish.
Notes
Substitutes:
- Rye Whiskey: Bourbon works well as a substitute if you don't have rye whiskey. It adds a slightly sweeter profile to the drink.
