Notes

Substitutes:

  • Tequila: If you don't have Tequila, I've used mezcal for a smoky twist. Vodka can also work in a pinch for a milder flavor.
  • Triple Sec: Cointreau or Grand Marnier are great alternatives if you want a richer orange flavor.
  • Pineapple Juice: Freshly squeezed pineapple juice makes a big difference, but canned works too. I've even tried mango juice for a tropical variation.
  • Lime Juice: Lemon juice can substitute lime juice if needed, although it slightly changes the flavor.

Making a Pitcher of Pineapple Margarita:

  • Scale: To make a pitcher that serves 8, multiply all ingredients by 8. Use 16 oz of Tequila, 8 oz of triple sec, 16 oz of pineapple juice, and 8 oz of lime juice.
  • Mix: In a large pitcher, combine all ingredients with ice and stir well.
  • Serve: Strain into individual chilled margarita glasses and garnish with pineapple slices or lime wedges.

Making it Non-Alcoholic:

  • Tequila Substitute: Use non-alcoholic tequila alternatives available in stores; they mimic the flavor without the alcohol.
  • Triple Sec Substitute: Opt for an orange-flavored syrup or non-alcoholic orange liqueur substitute.
  • Proceed As Usual: Follow the original steps using these substitutes for a refreshing non-alcoholic version.
