Notes

Substitutes:

  • Vermouth: You can make this drink with just any kind and brand of vermouth you like. Whether it is sweet or dry, Italian, French or British: feel free to experiment!
  • Lemon/Lime Wedge: An orange slice or peel also works excellent as a garnish and adds a hint of citrus sweetness if you're out of lemons.

Making it Non-Alcoholic:

  • Vermouth Substitute: Use a non-alcoholic vermouth substitute; these are available and do a good job mimicking vermouth's flavors.
  • Proceed As Usual: Use this non-alcoholic substitute instead of regular Vermouth, follow the original steps, and enjoy a non-alcoholic version.

Making it Vegan:

  • Check Ingredients: Ensure that both your Vermouth and tonic water are vegan-friendly. Some brands may use animal-derived fining agents in their production process. Always check the label and/ot the brand’s website in case of doubt.
  • Proceed As Usual: Once you confirm your ingredients are vegan, follow the original steps to make your vegan Vermouth Tonic Water.
