Notes

Substitutes:

  • White Rum: If you don't have white rum, try using vodka for a neutral flavor or tequila for a different twist.
  • Pomegranate Juice: Cranberry juice can work as an alternative if pomegranate juice is unavailable, though it will alter the flavor slightly.
  • Orgeat Syrup: Almond syrup can replace orgeat syrup if needed, but it may lack some floral notes.
  • Egg White: I sometimes use aquafaba (chickpea water) as a substitute for egg white to achieve the same frothy texture without altering the taste.

Making it Non-Alcoholic:

  • Rum Substitute: Use a non-alcoholic rum alternative; these are available and mimic the flavor profile quite well.
  • Proceed As Usual: Follow the original steps using non-alcoholic substitutes to enjoy a refreshing mocktail version.

Making it Vegan:

  • Egg White Substitute: Use aquafaba instead of Egg white to keep it vegan while maintaining the frothy texture.
  • Proceed As Usual: Follow the original steps using aquafaba in place of egg white for a vegan-friendly cocktail.
