Substitutes:
- Pumpkin Puree: If you don't have pumpkin puree on hand, you can use canned pumpkin or make your puree from a fresh pumpkin. Sweet potato puree also works as a great substitute.
- Apple Cider: Apple juice can be used as a substitute for apple cider. It's sweeter, so you should reduce the amount of maple syrup.
- Maple Syrup: Honey or agave nectar can replace maple syrup if needed. Adjust to taste.
Making a Pitcher:
- Scale: To make a pitcher that serves 8, multiply all the ingredients by 8. That would be 8 oz of pumpkin puree, 16 oz of apple cider, 4 oz of maple syrup, 2 teaspoons of nutmeg, and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.
- Mix: In a large pitcher, combine all the ingredients and stir well.
- Serve: Pour the mixture into ice-filled glasses, garnish with a cinnamon stick, and serve immediately.
