Mixing time: 1 minute minute
- 2 oz Hpnotiq Liqueur
- 1½ oz Hennessy Cognac
- 1 dash Orange bitters
- Ice cubes
Highball Glass
Measuring Jigger
Prep Glass: Fill your highball glass with ice cubes. Give it a quick stir.
Add Bitters: Pour 1 dash Orange bitters into the ice-filled glass.
Add Hpnotiq: Pour 2 oz Hpnotiq Liqueur over the ice.
Add Hennessy: Measure and delicately pour 1½ oz Hennessy Cognac into the glass. The Cognac should float on top of the Hpnotiq liqueur.
Serve: Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer on the side. The drink should be mixed by the guest right before drinking, blending the flavors together and making the cocktail turn bright green.
Substitutes:
- Hpnotiq Liqueur: If you don't have Hpnotiq, you can use a blue curaçao mixed with a bit of passion fruit liqueur or syrup for a similar color tropical flavor. I've also used Alizé Bleu Passion, which has a similar fruity profile. Just keep in mind that Hpnotiq is a very specific product and that the final flavor and color of the drink may be quite different from the original drink if you decide to use another product as a substitute.
- Cognac: You can use any other brandy of your choice to make this cocktail. The original recipe calls for cognac as a way of pairing with the Hpnotiq liqueur, which is made using a cognac base, but feel free to experiment with other types of brandy. Applejack, for example, can be a good option if you’re looking for a fruitier twist on this cocktail.
- Orange Bitters: If you’re out of orange bitters, you can use lemon bitters as a substitute or simply leave them out.
Making it Vegan:
Good news, this Hulk drink recipe is already vegan-friendly!
