Notes

Substitutes:

Gin is a fantastic substitute for Vodka if you prefer a more botanical flavor. For a citrusy twist, I sometimes use lemon or lime-flavored soda instead of tonic water.

Making a Pitcher:

  • Scale: To make a pitcher serving 8, you'll need 16 oz of Vodka and 32 oz tonic water.
  • Mix: Combine the Vodka and tonic water in a large pitcher and stir well.
  • Serve: Pour the mixture into ice-filled highball glasses, garnish with a lemon or lime wedge, and serve immediately.

Making it Non-Alcoholic:

  • Vodka Substitute: Opt for a non-alcoholic vodka substitute; several brands offer a similar taste without the alcohol content.
  • Proceed As Usual: Use the non-alcoholic vodka substitute instead of regular Vodka and follow the original steps to enjoy a refreshing non-alcoholic version.

Making it Vegan:

Good news for our vegan friends! A standard Vodka Tonic is inherently vegan. Ensure that the vodka brand you choose does not use animal products or by-products in its filtration process, and you're good to go.
