  • Stirrer or Bar Spoon

  • Stir Gently: Use a bar spoon to stir the ingredients gently until the sugar dissolves.
  • Garnish: Place a lime wedge on the rim of the glass for garnish.

Notes

Substitutes:

  • Rum: If you don't have rum, try using vodka for a different but enjoyable flavor. I've also used tequila for a more adventurous twist.
  • Grenadine: Pomegranate juice mixed with simple syrup works well if you're out of grenadine. It gives a similar sweetness and color.
  • Sugar: Honey or agave syrup can replace sugar if you prefer a natural sweetener. Just make sure to stir well so it dissolves completely.

Making it Non-Alcoholic:

  • Rum Substitute: Use a non-alcoholic rum substitute; these are available and do a good job mimicking rum's flavor profile.
  • Proceed As Usual: Use these non-alcoholic substitutes instead of the regular ingredients, follow the original steps, and enjoy a non-alcoholic version.

Making it Vegan:

  • Sugar Substitute: Ensure you use vegan-certified sugar or replace it with agave syrup or maple syrup to keep it vegan-friendly.
  • Proceed As Usual: Follow the original steps using these vegan substitutes to enjoy a vegan version of the Solaris Cocktail.
