Prep Glass: Chill your coupe glass.

Add Kümmel: Pour ½ oz Kümmel into the shaker.
Add Gin: Finish with 1 oz Gin.
Add Ice: Fill your shaker with ice
Shake: Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
Strain: Fine strain into your chilled coupe;
Garnish: Use a lemon zest for garnish.
Substitutes:
- Gin: If you don't have gin, try using vodka for a cleaner taste. I've also used tequila for a more adventurous twist.
- Kümmel: If you don’t have Kummel, opt for a generic herbal liqueur.
- Lemon Juice: Lime can be a good alternative for a slightly different citrus flavor.
Making a Pitcher of Silver Bullet Drink:
- Scale: To make a pitcher that serves 8, multiply all the ingredients by 8. That would be 8 oz of gin, 4 oz of Kümmel, and 2 oz of lemon juice.
- Mix: In a large pitcher, combine the gin, the lemon juice, and Kümmel with ice. Stir well.
- Serve: Strain the mixture into chilled cocktail glasses, garnish with a lemon twist, and serve immediately.
Making it Non-Alcoholic:
- Gin Substitute: Use a non-alcoholic gin substitute; these are available and reasonably mimic gin's botanicals.
- Whiskey Substitute: Infuse simple syrup with caraway seeds and a dash of vinegar for complexity.
- Proceed As Usual: Use these non-alcoholic substitutes instead of the regular ingredients, follow the original steps, and enjoy a non-alcoholic version.
