Notes

Substitutes:

  • Gin: If you're out of Gin, vodka can be a decent substitute, although it will slightly alter the flavor profile.
  • Passion Fruit Syrup: If you can't find passion fruit syrup, a mix of simple syrup and fresh passion fruit juice can work as a replacement.
  • Falernum: This is a unique ingredient, but you could use a mix of almond syrup, ginger, cinnamon, and lime juice in a pinch.
  • Orgeat: This almond-based syrup can be replaced with simple syrup and a dash of almond extract if needed.

Making it Non-Alcoholic:

  • Gin Substitute: Use a non-alcoholic gin substitute; these are available and reasonably mimic Gin's botanicals.
  • Falernum liqueur: make your own non-alcoholic infusion with simple syrup, almonds, ginger, and lime peels.
  • Proceed As Usual: Use these non-alcoholic substitutes instead of the regular ones, follow the original steps, and enjoy a non-alcoholic version.

Making it Vegan:

This cocktail is already vegan-friendly, just make sure to always check the labels as some producers may use animal products during production.
