Fill a cocktail glass with ice and set it aside.
In the shaker, pour ¾ oz fresh lemon juice.
Add ¾ oz Cointreau.
Pour in 1 oz pomegranate juice.
Finally, add 1½ oz Citrus-infused Vodka into the shaker.
Fill the shaker with ice, close it and give it a good shake (10-15 seconds).

Express the lemon zest on top of the glass, and garnish by placing it either directly inside the glass or on its rim.
Substitutes:
- Citrus-infused Vodka: Non-flavored vodka also works well for this cocktail. If you're out of vodka altogether, gin can be a good substitute, adding a more botanical flavor. Tequila could also work for a different twist, closer to a fruity Margarita.
- Cointreau: Grand Marnier or Triple Sec can replace Cointreau if needed.
- Pomegranate Juice: Cherry or red grape juice can be used as substitutes for pomegranate juice, though they will slightly alter the flavor profile.
- Fresh lemon juice: freshly squeezed juice is always the best option, but bottled juice will work as well if you’re out of fresh lemons. Lime juice can also do the trick.
Making a Pitcher of Pomegranate Martini:
- Scale: To make a pitcher serving 8, multiply all ingredients by 8: 12 oz of citrus vodka, 8 oz of pomegranate juice, 6 oz of Cointreau, and 6 oz of fresh lemon juice.
- Mix: In a large pitcher, combine the citrus vodka, pomegranate juice, Cointreau, and fresh lime juice. Add ice and stir well.
- Serve: Strain to remove the ice, serve immediately into chilled cocktail glasses, and garnish with lemon zest. Serve immediately.
Making it Non-Alcoholic:
- Vodka Substitute: Use a non-alcoholic vodka or gin substitute; these are available and do a good job mimicking vodka's flavor. You can also use some unsweetened lemonade instead of the citrus-infused vodka.
- Cointreau Substitute: Opt for an orange extract mixed with simple syrup. For an extra orange touch, you can also slightly muddle an orange zest into the shaker glass before adding the rest of the ingredients.
- Proceed As Usual: Use these non-alcoholic substitutes instead of the regular ingredients, follow the original steps, and enjoy a non-alcoholic version.
Making it Vegan:
This cocktail is already vegan as it doesn't contain any animal products. Most spirits, including vodka and Cointreau, are vegan-friendly. However, some brands may use animal products in their production process, especially if a filtration process is involved.
