  • 2 oz Pisco
  • 4 oz soda water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wheel or wedge - for garnish, optional

Equipment

  • Highball Glass
  • Measuring Jigger
  • Stirrer or Bar Spoon

Instructions

  • Prep Glass: Fill your highball glass with ice cubes.
  • Add Pisco: Pour 2 oz Pisco over the ice.
  • Top with Soda Water: Add 4 oz soda water to the mix.
  • Stir Gently: Use a bar spoon to stir the ingredients gently.
  • Garnish: Place a lime wheel or wedge on the rim for garnish.

Notes

Substitutes:

  • Pisco: If you don't have Pisco, try using a light rum for a different but enjoyable flavor. I've also used tequila in a pinch, which adds an interesting twist.
  • Soda Water: You can use tonic water for a slightly bitter edge or sparkling water if you prefer a milder taste.

Making it Non-Alcoholic:

  • Pisco Substitute: Use a non-alcoholic spirit that mimics Pisco's fruity notes; these are available and work well in cocktails.
  • Proceed As Usual: Replace Pisco with the non-alcoholic substitute and follow the original steps to enjoy a non-alcoholic version.
