Add Gentian Liqueur: Follow with ½ oz gentian liqueur.
Add Maraschino: Measure and pour ½ oz maraschino liqueur into the shaker.
Add Rye: Add 1 oz Rye Whiskey to the shaker.
Prep Shaker: Fill your cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Shake Well: Shake the mixture vigorously for about 15 seconds.
Strain: Fine strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe glass.
Garnish: Add a lemon or lime twist for garnish if desired.
