  • Prep Shaker: Fill your shaker with ice cubes.

Notes

Substitutes:

  • Blue Curacao: I often use blueberry syrup when I don't have Blue Curacao. It alters the flavor slightly but maintains the vibrant blue color.
  • Light Rum: White tequila can be a good substitute, offering a different, yet delightful, flavor profile.
  • Cream of Coconut: I've used coconut milk when cream of coconut wasn't available. It's lighter but still brings that creamy coconut flavor.

Making a Pitcher of Jack Frost Cocktail:

  • Scale: To make a pitcher that serves 8, use 8 oz of Blue Curacao, 8 oz of light rum, 16 oz of pineapple juice, and 8 oz of cream of coconut.
  • Mix: Combine all the ingredients in a large pitcher and stir well.
  • Serve: Pour the mixture into ice-filled hurricane glasses, garnish, and serve immediately.

Making it Non-Alcoholic:

  • Blue Curacao Substitute: Use a non-alcoholic blue syrup.
  • Light Rum Substitute: Omit the rum or use a non-alcoholic rum-flavored syrup.
  • Proceed As Usual: Use these non-alcoholic substitutes and follow the original steps to enjoy a non-alcoholic Jack Frost Cocktail.

Making it Vegan:

  • Cream of Coconut Substitute: Use a vegan-friendly coconut cream or coconut milk as a substitute for cream of coconut to maintain the vegan integrity of the cocktail.
