Garnish: Place a cucumber slice or lime wheel into the glass for garnish.
Substitutes:
- Prosecco: If you don't have Prosecco, you can use any sparkling wine like Champagne or even a dry white wine with a splash of club soda for bubbles. I've also tried using sparkling water with a bit of elderflower syrup for a floral twist.
- Soda Water: Tonic water works well if you prefer a slightly bitter edge. You can also use flavored sparkling water for an extra layer of taste.
- Lime Juice: Lemon juice can be used as an alternative if you're out of limes. It gives a slightly different but still refreshing citrus note.
Making it Non-Alcoholic:
- Prosecco Substitute: Use cucumber syrup and non-alcoholic sparkling wine or sparkling grape juice; these mimic the bubbly nature without alcohol.
- Proceed As Usual: Follow the original steps using these non-alcoholic substitutes instead of Prosecco.
