  • 1 oz soda water
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Cucumber slice or lime wheel - for garnish, optional

Equipment

  • Wine Glass
  • Measuring Jigger
  • Stirrer or Bar Spoon

Instructions

  • Prep Glass: Fill your wine glass with ice cubes.
  • Add Cucumber Syrup or Liqueur: Measure and pour 1 oz cucumber syrup or liqueur over the ice.
  • Add Lime Juice: Add ½ oz lime juice to the mix.
  • Add Prosecco: Pour approximately 3 oz Prosecco in your wine glass.
  • Add Soda Water: Top up with 1 oz soda water.
  • Stir Gently: Use a bar spoon to stir the ingredients gently.
  • Garnish: Place a cucumber slice or lime wheel into the glass for garnish.

Notes

Substitutes:

  • Prosecco: If you don't have Prosecco, you can use any sparkling wine like Champagne or even a dry white wine with a splash of club soda for bubbles. I've also tried using sparkling water with a bit of elderflower syrup for a floral twist.
  • Soda Water: Tonic water works well if you prefer a slightly bitter edge. You can also use flavored sparkling water for an extra layer of taste.
  • Lime Juice: Lemon juice can be used as an alternative if you're out of limes. It gives a slightly different but still refreshing citrus note.

Making it Non-Alcoholic:

  • Prosecco Substitute: Use cucumber syrup and non-alcoholic sparkling wine or sparkling grape juice; these mimic the bubbly nature without alcohol.
  • Proceed As Usual: Follow the original steps using these non-alcoholic substitutes instead of Prosecco.
