Substitutes:
- Aguardiente: Aguardiente being a vast category of spirits, you can use any kind of aguardiente you like to prepare this cocktail: whether it is grain, sugar cane or fruit-based aguardiente, feel free to experiment with different kinds and bottles when preparing this cocktail. If it's your first time making this drink, we recommend you try it with anise-flavored aguardiente, which is the most common and the most wide-spread type of aguardiente on the market.
- Hot Coffee: You can use espresso for a more robust coffee flavor or decaf coffee if you want to avoid caffeine.
- Sugar: Honey or agave syrup can be used instead of sugar for a different sweetness profile.
