Mixing time: 1 minute minute

- 3 oz cranberry juice
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- Ice cubes

Highball Glass
Measuring Jigger
Prep Glass: Fill your highball glass with ice cubes.
Add Vodka: Pour 1½ oz Vodka over the ice.
Add Cranberry Juice: Measure and pour 3 oz cranberry juice into the glass.
Add Pineapple Juice: Add 1 oz pineapple juice to the mix.
Substitutes:
- Vodka: If you don't have vodka, you can use gin for a more botanical flavor. I've also used white rum, which gives the drink a tropical twist.
- Cranberry Juice: Pomegranate juice works well if you're out of cranberry juice. It's a bit sweeter but still adds a tartness that complements the other flavors.
- Pineapple Juice: Mango juice is a good alternative. It's tropical and sweet but changes the character of the drink slightly.
Making a Pitcher of Bay Breeze:
- Scale: To make a pitcher that serves 8, multiply all the ingredients by 8. That would be 12 oz of vodka, 24 oz of cranberry juice, and 8 oz of pineapple juice.
- Mix: In a large pitcher, combine the vodka, cranberry juice, and pineapple juice. Stir well.
- Serve: Pour the mixture into ice-filled highball glasses, garnish with a lime wedge, and serve immediately.
Making it Non-Alcoholic:
- Vodka Substitute: Use a non-alcoholic vodka substitute or soda water for the base.
- Proceed As Usual: Use these non-alcoholic substitutes instead of the regular ingredients, follow the original steps, and enjoy a non-alcoholic Bay Breeze.
Making it Vegan:
- Check Your Juices: Most commercial juices are vegan, but it's always good to check the label for animal-derived ingredients like honey.
- Garnish: Ensure the lime or any other garnish is organic to avoid potential non-vegan pesticides.
