Notes

Substitutes:

  • Soju: If you don't have Soju, I recommend using vodka, for a similar but slightly more robust flavor. I've also tried sake, which adds a unique twist to the drink.
  • Lemon Juice: Lime juice works as an alternative if you're out of lemons. It gives a slightly different tang but still tastes great.
  • Apple Liqueur: If you are out of Apple Liqueur feel free to experiment with any other fruit liqueur.

Making a Pitcher of Apple Sojutini:

  • Scale: To make a pitcher that serves 8, multiply all the ingredients by 8. That would be 16 oz of Soju, 8 oz of Apple Liqueur, and 8 oz of lemon juice.
  • Mix: In a large pitcher, combine the Soju, the Apple Liqueur, and the lemon juice with ice. Stir well.
  • Serve: Strain the mixture into individual chilled martini glasses, garnish with an apple slice, and serve immediately.

Making it Non-Alcoholic:

  • Soju Substitute: Use a non-alcoholic spirit substitute; these are available and mimic the taste of Soju quite well.
  • Apple Liqueur: Use an apple syrup or blend some apples with sugar to have similar sweetness.
  • Proceed As Usual: Use these non-alcoholic substitutes, follow the original steps, and enjoy a non-alcoholic version.

Making it Vegan:

  • Ensure Ingredients Are Vegan: Most sojus are vegan, but always check the label to be sure. Do the same for your apple liqueur.
  • Proceed As Usual: Use these vegan-friendly ingredients and follow the original steps to enjoy a vegan Apple Sojutini.
