Notes

Substitutes:

  • Amaretto: You can use Disaronno or any brand of amaretto of your liking to make this drink.
  • Coca-Cola: Any cola will work in this recipe if you still need to get Coca-Cola on hand. Pepsi or a diet cola can be used as a lower-calorie option.

Making it Non-Alcoholic:

  • Amaretto Substitute: Use a non-alcoholic amaretto substitute such as Lyre’s Amaretti. Another option could be to use orgeat syrup (approx ½ ounce) and a drop of lemon juice as a substitute.
  • Proceed As Usual: Use this non-alcoholic substitute instead of the regular Amaretto, follow the original steps, and enjoy a non-alcoholic version.

Making it Vegan:

  • Amaretto: Most brands of Amaretto are already vegan, but always check the label to be sure.
  • Coca-Cola: Coca-Cola is also typically vegan. However, some diet colas may contain traces of animal products, so always check the label if you need clarification.
  • Proceed As Usual: After ensuring your ingredients are vegan-friendly, follow the original steps to enjoy a delicious vegan Amaretto and Coke.
